Confederates at rest in Greater Darlington County SC
Introduction It is the intent of this work to be simply an aid to the researcher of the Confederate soldiers that were from Darlington County, South Carolina or the ones that made Darlington County their last resting place. Nothing in this work is claimed to be the absolute truth about the individual soldier or citizen. The only way to have absolute truth about their lives was to have had personal knowledge of their life and history. This was not within the ability of the compiler of these purported facts. The information contained within was primarily gained via the internet and by the very laborious task of walking the cemeteries and graveyards of Darlington County, noting the graves that had deceased males that had been born within a time frame that would have made them eligible for service in the war.
